UX Designer - accessibility review (New Orleans, LA)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Beacon Medical and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around production lots that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in production lots. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
