UX Designer - accessibility review (Miami, FL)

We are growing our team at Cedar Beacon Community Partners and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would join a large organisation of about 938 people based in Miami. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around volunteer shifts that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in volunteer shifts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Miami. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
