Northwind Cobalt Insurance · Kansas City, MO · contract

Northwind Cobalt Insurance is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 39 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Kansas City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
