UX Designer - accessibility review (Indianapolis, IN)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Rook Press and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around bindery work that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in bindery work. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
