UX Designer - accessibility review (Indianapolis, IN)

Stonegate Rook Community Partners is a Indianapolis charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in benefits enrolment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
