UX Designer - accessibility review (Indianapolis, IN)

We are growing our team at Silverline Corner Press and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. We like people who notice details. What you will do • Design for tasks around proofing that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in proofing. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
