UX Designer - accessibility review (Houston, TX)

Ironwood Thistle Learning Group is an education provider in Houston serving students and families. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around attendance records that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in attendance records. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Houston. • We reply to every applicant.
