UX Designer - accessibility review (Honolulu, HI)

Nova Thistle Early Learning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for classroom supplies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around classroom supplies that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Honolulu, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
