UX Designer - accessibility review (Hartford, CT)

We are growing our team at Redstone Meridian Arts Center and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would join a large organisation of about 605 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in visitor services. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
