UX Designer - accessibility review (Hartford, CT)

Greenridge Quarry Transit Planning Group is a transit-planning firm in Hartford working with agencies and riders, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around accessibility audits that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in accessibility audits. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
