UX Designer - accessibility review (Hartford, CT)

Foxglove River Community Partners is a nonprofit in Hartford supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around grant reporting that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in grant reporting. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
