UX Designer - accessibility review (El Paso, TX)

Fernwood Thistle Learning Group is an education provider in El Paso serving students and families. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. You would join a small organisation of about 44 people based in El Paso. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around learning materials that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in learning materials. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in El Paso. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
