UX Designer - accessibility review (Detroit, MI)

Nova Thistle Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Detroit, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in attendance records. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
