UX Designer - accessibility review (Detroit, MI)
Amberfield Quarry Transit Planning · Detroit, MI · contract
Amberfield Quarry Transit Planning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for ridership counts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work.
We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work.
What you will do
• Audit screens for accessibility and readability.
• Design for tasks around ridership counts that people do under time pressure.
• Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people.
• Maintain a small design system of reusable components.
• Work with developers so designs ship as intended.
What we are looking for
• Two or more years of UX or product design experience.
• Comfort with Figma or a similar tool.
• Care for plain language and accessibility.
• A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens.
Nice to have
• Experience running usability tests.
• Background in ridership counts.
Working arrangement
• Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
• On site in Detroit.
• Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
