UX Designer - accessibility review (Detroit, MI)

Bluepeak Ashton Health is a healthcare provider in Detroit with clinics and support teams, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. Clinicians and administrators work side by side. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around insurance authorisations that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in insurance authorisations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
