UX Designer - accessibility review (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Wilder Insurance Partners and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in catastrophe response. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
