UX Designer - accessibility review (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Thistle Insurance and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around claims that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in claims. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
