UX Designer - accessibility review (Des Moines, IA)

Bright North Early Learning runs childcare centres in Des Moines caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. You would join a large organisation of about 220 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around enrolment that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
