UX Designer - accessibility review (Des Moines, IA)

Cedar Ember Early Learning runs childcare centres in Des Moines caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Design for tasks around classroom supplies that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in classroom supplies. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
