UX Designer - accessibility review (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Willow Medical and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would join a small organisation of about 49 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around training materials that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in training materials. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
