UX Designer - accessibility review (Des Moines, IA)

Nova Technologies is a printer and publisher in Des Moines serving local and national clients. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in paper stock. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
