UX Designer - accessibility review (Des Moines, IA)

Cedar Birch Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Des Moines design routes and schedules. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around accessibility audits that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in accessibility audits. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
