UX Designer - accessibility review (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Field Insurance and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around catastrophe response that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
