UX Designer - accessibility review (Chicago, IL)

Foxglove Cedar Health is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for electronic records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 212 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Design for tasks around electronic records that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in electronic records. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
