UX Designer - accessibility review (Chicago, IL)

Redstone Summit Community Partners runs community programmes across Chicago, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in client intake. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
