UX Designer - accessibility review (Charlotte, NC)

Nova Forge Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around Charlotte. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. You would join a small organisation of about 168 people based in Charlotte. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around accessibility audits that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in accessibility audits. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Charlotte, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
