UX Designer - accessibility review (Charleston, SC)

Ironwood Wilder Press produces print and digital publications in Charleston, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around proofing that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in proofing. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Charleston. • We reply to every applicant.
