UX Designer - accessibility review (Buffalo, NY)

Northwind Financial serves customers across Buffalo with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on accessibility review. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around account servicing that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in account servicing. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
