UX Designer - accessibility review (Buffalo, NY)
Rivermark Hollow Transit Planning · Buffalo, NY · contract
Rivermark Hollow Transit Planning is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work.
You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management.
What you will do
• Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people.
• Design for tasks around fare systems that people do under time pressure.
• Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails.
• Maintain a small design system of reusable components.
• Work with developers so designs ship as intended.
What we are looking for
• Care for plain language and accessibility.
• A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens.
• Two or more years of UX or product design experience.
• Comfort with Figma or a similar tool.
Nice to have
• Experience running usability tests.
• Background in fare systems.
Working arrangement
• Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension.
• On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months.
• We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
