UX Designer - accessibility review (Baltimore, MD)
Westbrook Ivory Transit Planning · Baltimore, MD · contract
Westbrook Ivory Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Baltimore working with agencies and riders, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review.
We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work.
What you will do
• Design for tasks around ridership counts that people do under time pressure.
• Work with developers so designs ship as intended.
• Audit screens for accessibility and readability.
• Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails.
• Maintain a small design system of reusable components.
What we are looking for
• Two or more years of UX or product design experience.
• A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens.
• Comfort with Figma or a similar tool.
• Care for plain language and accessibility.
Nice to have
• Background in ridership counts.
• Experience running usability tests.
Working arrangement
• Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
• On site in Baltimore.
• We reply to every applicant.
