UX Designer - accessibility review (Baltimore, MD)

Fernwood Bright Medical · Baltimore, MD · part time

Fernwood Bright Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Baltimore, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around clinical evaluations that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in clinical evaluations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
