UX Designer - accessibility review (Baltimore, MD)

Harborlight Pike Learning Group is an education provider in Baltimore serving students and families, and we need a UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. Families are partners. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around family communication that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in family communication. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
