UX Designer - accessibility review (Anchorage, AK)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Quarry Arts Center and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be accessibility review. You would join a small organisation of about 108 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Design for tasks around school partnerships that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in school partnerships. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Anchorage. • We reply to every applicant.
