Supply Chain Analyst - inventory optimisation (Des Moines, IA)

Lumen Fern Freight is a Des Moines logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Supply Chain Analyst to take on inventory optimisation. You would join a large organisation of about 931 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Build reports on loads and lanes that planners can act on. • Forecast demand and recommend inventory levels. • Analyse transport and storage costs and find savings. • Track supplier delivery and quality performance. • Support annual contract and network reviews. What we are looking for • Two or more years in supply chain, planning or operations analysis. • Strong Excel skills and comfort with large data files. • Clear communication with non-analysts. Nice to have • Knowledge of loads and lanes. • Experience with an ERP or planning system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
