Supply Chain Analyst - inventory optimisation (Birmingham, AL)

Northwind Yarrow Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Birmingham. We are hiring a Supply Chain Analyst to take on inventory optimisation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track supplier delivery and quality performance. • Analyse transport and storage costs and find savings. • Forecast demand and recommend inventory levels. • Build reports on carrier rates that planners can act on. • Support annual contract and network reviews. What we are looking for • Strong Excel skills and comfort with large data files. • Two or more years in supply chain, planning or operations analysis. • Clear communication with non-analysts. Nice to have • Knowledge of carrier rates. • Experience with an ERP or planning system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
