Software Engineer - web applications (Toledo, OH)

Fernwood Juniper Transit Planning Partners is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for survey data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 197 people based in Toledo. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about survey data into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with survey data. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Toledo. • We reply to every applicant.
