Software Engineer - web applications (San Jose, CA)

Nova Union Telecom is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for customer tickets, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer tickets. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
