Software Engineer - web applications (Richmond, VA)

Ironwood Pike Early Learning runs childcare centres in Richmond caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. We celebrate small wins and steady routines. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about meal programmes into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with meal programmes. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
