Software Engineer - web applications (Reno, NV)

Westbrook Maple Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from Reno, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our web applications. Career paths are clear. What you will do • Turn requests about regulatory reports into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory reports. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
