Software Engineer - web applications (Reno, NV)

Bright Pike Learning Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about enrolment into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with enrolment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
