Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Bright Ashton Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Providence area. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about field visits into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with field visits. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
