Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Ironwood Meridian Legal Group is a law firm in Oakland serving businesses and individuals. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. You would join a small organisation of about 47 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about document review into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with document review. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
