Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Clearpath Meridian Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Charlotte area. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about field visits into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with field visits. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Charlotte. • We reply to every applicant.
