Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Greenridge Beacon Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Minneapolis area. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. You would join a small organisation of about 50 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about water quality into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with water quality. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
