Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Fernwood Cross Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Tulsa. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about equipment calibration into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with equipment calibration. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Tulsa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
