Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Harborlight Hollow Facilities Group cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Seattle. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on web applications. You would join a large organisation of about 547 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Turn requests about safety inspections into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with safety inspections. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
