Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Rivermark Fern Energy Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for hardship programmes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about hardship programmes into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with hardship programmes. • Cloud deployment experience.
