Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Redstone Lantern Learning Group Associates is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for student accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 49 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about student accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with student accounts. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
