Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

We are growing our team at Redstone Quill Transit Planning and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. You would join a small organisation of about 99 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about route schedules into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with route schedules. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
