Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Redstone Kestrel Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the New Orleans area, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our web applications. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about attendance records into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with attendance records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
